First several flights are close to ground, ranging in heights of 4 - 8 feet and short glides of 50 yards or so. As skills develop, altitudes increase and more challenging sites are chosen to fly from. Foot launching does require a little more patience and dedication, but it's worth it. It's what you've always dreamed of!!

CONCLUSION: Either way you do it, you're going to have fun. However; if you want to absorb your learning experience at a slower, more economical pace vs. the quick fix, go for foot launching. You will be rewarded with the full spectrum of skills needed to truly call yourself a Hangglider Pilot.
