MARYLAND SCHOOL OF HANGGLIDING LESSON REFUND POLICY 1999 - 2000
Note: All prices subject
to change without notice
If groundhandling portion of
the class is completed, but flying is canceled due to the unsafe wind
or weather; the most you will pay is: $40.00
NOTE: Groundhandling
consists of learning how to pick up, hold, balance and run with the hangglider.
You are developing skills required to become airborne (simulating a take-off).
Your first day will emphasize this skill, as it is the most important
first skill to master. Completion of "ground handling" usually has the
student pilot hooked into the hangglider running on level ground. Later,
a gentle slope may be incorporated to facilitate speed in the run. Upon
proper execution, the students harness straps will become taught and brief
"short-hop" flight can occur. Aggressive "flare" at end simulates landing
